STEM Adventure Weekend (SAW) 2019 Registration
Dates: Sept 20th 6:00pm to 22nd 11:55AM, 2019
Location: Lost Pines Scout Reservation  (Directions: Google | Yahoo)

Cost: $70 per participant, $10 early bird special if registering before 9/1/2019, $40 per adult

 

Each Scout can attend one merit badge or award class during the each of the four times slots:

  • Saturday Morning  8AM to 11:45AM
  • Saturday Afternoon  1PM - 4:45PM
  • Saturday Evening  6PM - 9:45PM
  • Sunday Morning  8AM-11:45AM

Please note that some merit badges classes have a Part 1 and Part 2.  It is highly suggested that youth take both the part 1 and part 2 of one merit badge during the weekend. 

The NOVA Awards are listed with a (P) - this means that the class is a partial and participants will need to complete requirement #1.

SuperNOVA mentor Training will be listed under Adult Classes and will occur Saturday Afternoon,1pm-4:45pm.

Reminders:

  • Bring completed Medical forms (Parts A & B) to the campout.
  • We need parent volunteers to help with several positions during the weekend, including Medic Help, Restroom Checks, Check out procedures and Class Reviews. 
  • Please plan to attend for the whole weekend is possible.
  • Not all of the merit badges can be completed during the course of the weekend.   Additionally, completion for some merit badges, such are Astronomy, are weather dependent.
  • All NOVA Award Classes will NOT cover Requirements 1 and 2. 
  • Merit Badge instructors and NOVA counselors can sign off on merit badge work completed outside of class as long as youth can show proof of work and follow the merit badge requirements (if it says "write an essay", show the written essay to the instructor).
  • Campsites will be assigned “first come, first serve” at check-in.  Troop shall provide at least two adults for each 8 boys attending SAW.  For youth not attending with a troop, a parent or guardian must be present at the SAW.  Provisional Scouts are NOT allowed.
  • Registration includes 3 meals on Saturday, 1 breakfast on Sunday, meeting spaces/tables/chairs/restrooms, and a STEM patch
  • Adults spending the night need current Youth Protection Training (YPT).

$40.00 per Adult
$70.00 per Scout
Early Discount
Before 9/2/2019 a discount of $10.00 will apply to all Scout Registrants.
Late fee
After a fee of $10.00 will apply to all Scout Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
Please see http://www.bsacac.org/activities/refund_policy for cancellation and refund policy and request form. Please note: 1. All refunds must be process through the online refund request form (please do not email us and assume that you have requested a refund.) 2. As outlined by the refund policy, refunds will be subject to a 25% processing fee. 3. Refunds must be requested within 10 days after the event (before or during is fine).
