International Spirit Award – World Conservation Award – Messengers of Peace Award

 

The Capitol Area Council International Committee and TechLab Camp are offering an AMAZING opportunity to earn 3 awards over this summer!

The International Spirit Award is a little know award where you will learn about the

 World Wide Scouting movement.

The World Conservation and Messengers of Peace Awards will also be earned in tandem as you work on the International spirit award. Scouts BSA youth can also earn the Take Care of Texas Award.

We will have 4 weeks of events/classes and reporting opportunities.

There will be Wednesday night classes and experiences including having guests from around the world!

Tuesday nights you will have the opportunity to report back to Program Ranger Shea on your “homework” assignments. (Presentations on The World Scouting Fund, service projects you are doing, what you learned about Scouts around the world)

These Awards/Classes are for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, Ventures and Scouters (adults).

Fee: $50 to attend ALL of the Classes/Events – Completion Reports tracked and given at the end of July **for Scouts registered for TechLab Camp this opportunity is included at no additional fee**

Dates:

Tuesday June 9th 6pm - Info Zoom Webinar with Program Ranger Shea about what the summer evening program will look like

Week 1:

  • Wednesday June 17th 6pm – International Spirit Award Zoom Webinar Event with Program Ranger Shea- Learn about Scouting around the world
    • Learn how to say “Be Prepared” in multiple languages,
    • Learn about the Conservation projects you can do to earn the awards,
    • Learn about the World Scouting Fund and how to promote it.

Week 2:

  • Tuesday June 23rd 6pm - Reporting Zoom Class where you can meet with Program Ranger Shea and Report on your projects for these awards.
  • Wednesday June 24th 6pm – International Spirit Award Zoom Webinar Event with Program Ranger Shea as we HOST a Scout from Kenya!! Come and learn about Scouting in Kenya, Songs, games and much more!

Week 3:

  • Tuesday July 14th 6pm - Reporting Zoom Class where you have the opportunity to meet with Program Ranger Shea and Report on your projects for these awards.
  • Wednesday July 15th 6pm - International Spirit Award Zoom Webinar Event with Program Ranger Shea- Learn MORE about Scouting around the world and how you can participate in International events with Scouts from around the world.

Week 4:

  • Tuesday July 21st 6pm - Reporting Zoom Class where you have the opportunity to meet with Program Ranger Shea and Report on your projects for these awards.
  • Wednesday July 22nd 6pm - International Spirit Award Zoom Webinar Event with Program Ranger Shea as we HOST a Scout from Kenya and other Countries!! Come and learn about Scouting songs, games, food and much more!

 

At the end of this International Spirit Adventure Those that participate will receive a Completion Report with what they have earned and what they may still need to do.
