Chief NRA Range Safety Officer Training

Prerequisite: You must be currently certified as an NRA Range Safety Officer and have competed the NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT).  If you have not attended a BIT session in over 2 years, please notify Bill Agnell, you may need to retake BIT.

DATE:  December 7 ,2019

Times: Saturday, 8:30 am - 7:00 pm.

Description:  NRA Chief Range Safety Officer candidates will learn how to teach the roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.  The successful completion of this course will allow individuals to educate, train, and certify NRA Range Safety Officers.

NRA Certification Fees.  In addition to the course fee, upon completion of the course, participants will need to register with the NRA to become certified.  There will be a $30 - $50 NRA fee depending on whether you are a NRA member or not.

Location:  Fickett Center

Class Size: The course is open to the first 12 who register.

What's Included: Each Chief Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive a Chief RSO Instructor Manual and an RSO Student Manual
