2017 Webelos Woods 

"Survival Camp"

Nov 3-5 @ Friendship Park, Granger Lake

Webelos Woods is a camping experience designed to introduce Webelos and their parents to the exciting scouting adventures waiting for them in the BOY SCOUT program.  The weekend is filled with fun activities, demonstrations,  scouting skills, outdoor excitement, and wonderful campfire program.

  • Activities include:
  • Fire Building
  • First Aid Games
  • Tomahawk / knife Throwing
  • shelter building
  • wilderness cooking
  • wrist rockets
  • scavenger hunts
  • knot relays
  • signaling
  • Archery

For Webelos:

Webelos dens and individuals provide their own tents and camping essentials.  Come out for the day (Saturday) or the whole weekend.

Webelos and their parents are invited to participate individually or with their den.  event cost is $12 per person which includes an event patch, program supplies, Saturday Lunch and insurance.  If you are intending to Stay the night on Saturday, please bring an extra $8 to give to your host troop for Sat. Dinner and Sun. Breakfast.

During the rotations each troop leads a different activity or skill for the Webelos and the Webelos Parents have a chance to talk to the scouters in that unit.  Webelos and adults have an opportunity tovisit with the Troops, as well as work on a service project for the ranch.  After dinner all scouts are invited to participate and entertain in the campfire.

For Boy Scouts:

While Webelos are welcome to register as a den or individually, we ask the Troops register as a group.  The event cost is $12/person which includes an event patch, program supplies, saturday lunch, and insurance.  Follow the  signup to select 1 or more activities to run.

Boy Scouts will have time to:

  • Work with visiting Webelos
  • Participate in a partial Wilderness Survival MB Class
  • Participate in some of the rotational activities during free time
  • help with a conservation service project for rank advancement
