Chief NRA Range Safety Officer Training (Boy Scout & Venture Leaders Only)
Prerequisite: You must be 21 years or older and already be certified as an NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) to take this course.
DATE: June 2 & 3
Times: Friday class on June 2 will be from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The class on June 3 will start at 8:30 am and end around 5:30 pm
Description: NRA Chief Range Safety Officer candidates will learn how to teach the roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. The course also includes the NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) which is required for all CRSO candidates. You must attend BIT if you have not attended BIT in the last 24 months to attend this course.
The successful completion of this course will allow individuals to educate, train, and certify NRA Range Safety Officers.
NRA Certification Fees. In addition to the course fee, upon completion of the course, participants will need to register with the NRA to become certified. There will be a $30 - $50 NRA fee depending on whether you are a NRA member or not.

Don't Forget: The course is open to the first 20 who register and pay a deposit of $25.00.
What's Included: Each Chief Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive a Chief RSO Instructor Manual, an RSO Student Manual, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and the Basic Instructor Training Manual.
