Calling all adventurers: spend the day finding the Lost Artifacts and Clues to your final treasure!

Capitol Area Council’s, Cub-O-Ree “Raiders of the Lost Artifact” at Smilin' V Scout Ranch, 250 County Road 286 Spur, Liberty Hill, TX 78642 October 22, 2016. Its 7 hours of adventure for Cubs and their Leaders!

Cub-O-Ree at Smilin V is specifically designed to introduce packs and dens the many and varied games and gathering activities you can do as Den activities, Pack fun and camping and day activities in the outdoors. So come out and sponsor a Station to show off your favorite Pack/Den activity and learn what other units do.  All while the kids run around like "Indiana Scout" and collect stamps for their Adventure Journal as they find the Lost Artifacts along the away.

T-shirt silk screening will be available so bring a light colored t-shirt to silk screen and take home with you as a souvenir of the event.

Special program will be a model Rocket Launch weather permitting.  If you are new to Scouts and received your rocket and want to launch it, launch pads and supervision will be on site to complete this task.  Additional rockets and engines will be available at cost.  Only rockets using a engine size 1/2A3-2T or equivalent may be used.

Stations will be offered by Council volunteers, the Order of the Arrow and Packs including, but not limited to: BBs, Archery, Blow Darts, Obstacle Course, Scout Skills, Leather Working, and Balance over the “Snake Pit”.  

Our activities will start Saturday morning at 9 a.m.. but you can arrive as early as Friday at 5 p.m. with camping reservations (camping is only available for those Packs who choose to sponsor a booth/activity).

Cost for the event: if you sign up by October 1 is $20 per youth and $5 per adult and includes a patch and program supplies.  Hot dog lunch is available for purchase for an additional $5.  October 2nd thru October 14th the cost is $22.00 per youth and $7 per adult and at the door the cost is $25.00 per youth and $10 per adult.

 For those arriving Saturday, check in opens at 8:30 a.m., please be ready to check-in by 8:30a.m, as opening ceremonies start at 9:00 a.m.. sharp!
